HTML code generation

HTML code generation can be customized by a preference page: Window > Preferences > JointLogic HTML Designer.

Formatting

HTML Designer can work in two modes:

• Retaining original source formatting - original formatting is preserved as much as possible.
  
• Reformat - HTML code is formatted by Mozilla engine rules.

Hint: When editing HTML source code, you can use Eclipse WTP's formatting feature from  Source > Format menu item.

HTML vs XHTML

When editing complete documents with a DTD declaration, XHTML or HTML formatting is activated depending on the DTD. When editing fragments XHTML or HTML formatting is activated depending on the setting in the preference page.
